Camo Day at School....

Image
Friday was camo day at school. I am usually prepared for these things, but for some reason hadn't looked at the calender until Thursday last week, only to find that Friday (the next day) was camo day. So, I called Olivia's cousin Hayden (who is 8 months younger than her I might add) and asked if we could borrow some camo clothes. They, of course, said yes, but the britches fell off her tiny hiney!!! :o( So, needless to say, this little camo hat & some green shorts are all I could come up with, but they worked. I bought the hat at Wal-Mart several months ago on clearance thinking it would never be worn, but I bought it anyway.. Thank goodness I did.. Her teachers told me when I went to pick her up that the hat and hair didn't last very long that day.. Oh well.... All that stress for nothing! She could've cared less! :o)

Olivia's First Soccer Game...

Image
I am getting REALLY behind on my posts so I thought I would sit down and do a quick one tonight. Saturday, the 28th of August was Olivia's first soccer game and she did really well. It was VERY hot that day and I figured she would be complaining of the heat, but she never did. Her team lost 4-6 (I think), but they all did good. Olivia gets the ball and can guide it really well with her feet where she wants it to go, but she is still reluctant to just rare back and kick it. She kinda sits back and stays out of the crowd fighting for the ball, then if it pops out of the crowd, she's got it.Her uncle Jay has worked with her some this week so we are hoping to see a more of an aggressive side of Olivia next game :o) (Oh, I must mention, at one point during the game, Olivia came running by her daddy and I, with two thumbs up, grinning ear to ear. It was sooooo funny. She had no idea where that ball was at the time. I love her to death I'm telling ya! Lots of people came to cheer ...

An official "update" on the Jones'.......

Image
Let's see... Where to start. Well, Miss Olivia turned 4 this summer and she is just changing in sooo many ways. She seems so grown up these days. We have gotten in a really bad habit this summer. Little Miss Olivia has gotten to where she comes to bed with us EVERY night and falls asleep snuggled up to my armpit (laying on my arm)... I love it!!! I do not have the heart to make her go to her bed. I know she needs to, but I can't. I enjoy this as much as she does, so I will just keep doing it until she's too big to do it I guess. So, we just let her go to sleep and then we take her to her room :o) She learning "some" independence that way :o) About Livie ~ her seizures have gotten SOOOO much better.. Thank God! We really don't have any episodes during the day anymore, but we still have some minor jerks at night. We are NEVER up all night anymore, she just has trouble falling asleep sometimes. Nothing major. The neurologist actually told us on our last visit tha...

Olivia's cousin Charlie has officially started playing football this year and he is sooooo very excited. He came to the house right after he first got his uniform and had to show it to us. We are so excited for him & can't wait to watch him play. You know your aunt Tanya will be in the stands screaming and cheering and embarassing you to death. :o) We love you bud. GO CHARLIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope is Fading......

I saw this video on a friends blog who is currently in the process of trying to adopt and I got chill bumps and just cried my eyes out. I think maybe it's because God has been talking to my husband & I a lot lately about adopting another child & some situations have come up that we are having to think about it, but this just broke my heart. I hope you don't mind that I borrowed this Heather. Grab some tissues! You will have to scroll to the bottom and silence the music box ~ (Just click the big circle) Hope is Fading from Allan Rosenow on Vimeo .
